  • Wainscoting, older properties mainly
  • Wooden wall panels generally
  • Behind skirting boards
  • Architraves, doorframes, door panels, and window frames
  • Inside and under boxes and trunks
  • Under floorboards
  • Under lino, and other floor coverings
  • Curtains, curtain rails and pelmets
  • Behind pictures and posters on walls
  • Plaster mouldings, where not flush
  • Pipe entry points and pipe ductings
  • Electrical conduits, cable chases
  • Wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside furniture
  • Castors on furniture
  • Old nail and rawlplug holes
  • Lamps and other free-standing equipment
  • Spines of books
  • Bird cages and pet beds
  • Clothing and luggage
  • TV sets
  • Inside cavity walls
  • Any ducting or dead space
